How we use AI

Starlene Bennin, Broker Associate, DRE #01730188 · Ashlyn Windsor, Realtor, DRE #02224221 · Chameleon, dba Red Hawk Realty, DRE #01109566

We use AI-assisted tools in our practice. This page says plainly what they do, what they are not allowed to do, and where the limits are. It is written for anyone who asks — a client, our broker, or our own file.

What our system does

  • Nothing AI-written reaches a client without a licensed agent reading it first.

Listing copy, emails, marketing, letters to owners and tenants — all of it arrives as a draft. It goes out when Starlene or Ashlyn puts their name on it, and not before.

  • Nothing sends itself.

There is no button anywhere that lets the system email a client, post to social media, or publish a listing on its own.

  • It cannot take an action that requires a real estate licence.

This is the line the industry worries about most. The system has no ability to take actions at all — not one that was switched off, but one that was never built.

  • A stranger never gets a price out of it.

“What’s My Home Worth” takes the request and routes it to Starlene — no number is ever shown to the visitor. The website chat is blocked from quoting prices or valuations, and it says up front that it is automated.

  • Listing language is checked for fair-housing problems automatically.

Wording that steers — including “good schools” and “safe area” — is flagged before it publishes. On the highest-exposure page it blocks the save outright rather than only warning.

  • No AI touches the photographs.

Photographs are the photographer’s own images. If one is ever digitally altered — virtual staging, for instance — it carries a notice and a link to the unaltered original, which is what California law has required since January 2026.

  • Client information does not go into public AI tools.

Financial details, Social Security numbers and sensitive personal information are never put into a third-party AI service.

  • Something checks for rule changes every morning.

The Department of Real Estate, the California legislature, HUD and the VA. Anything that looks like a real change goes into a queue for a person to read — nothing is ever applied automatically.

Where the limits are

  • The daily check does not cover NAR or C.A.R.

Both keep their material behind a member login, so an automated check cannot reach it. Those reach us the way they always have — a member forwards them.

  • AI drafts. It does not decide.

Pricing opinions, negotiation strategy and advice on a transaction are the professional judgment of Starlene Bennin (DRE #01730188) or Ashlyn Windsor (DRE #02224221).

  • This describes our own systems, not a brokerage policy.

Red Hawk Realty sets brokerage policy. This is an account of how the tools used in this practice behave.
